One thing to know and love about our God is that He is a promise keeper. Psalms 145:13 states, “For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.” God made sure to put this scripture in the bible with great intentions in mind. Not only do we serve an everlasting God that has and will forever reign but also a God that ALWAYS keeps His promises.
God already knew that it can be hard for us, as humans, to hold on to His promises in a generation and world that prefers immediate results.
God already knew that people may fail us, loved ones may disappoint us, and our circumstances may change in ways that can challenge our faith to believe that the promise will come to pass.
God already knew that it's even hard for ourselves as humans to make and keep promises, but that’s not the case for our God.
Our God never fails, never lies, and never gives up so why not trust and believe in Him to make the promise come to pass.
There are so many examples in the Bible, where people had to wait and trust that God’s promises will come to pass, and guess what? they did.
HERE ARE FOUR WAYS TO HELP YOU HOLD ON TO GOD’S PROMISES:

1. PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS
Are you constantly praying about God’s promises to make sure they come to pass ?
Matthew 7:7 states, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
It’s not enough to just hear the promise, we must go after the promise as well.
Let’s say I hear they are going to give away free Chick Fil A at 10 AM. I can’t just sit at home and expect the promise to fall into my lap. I would have to get up and drive up there to go get it.
It’s the same with our prayer life.
Our prayer life is like fuel for us to use with the belief that God will show up for us.
So when God has spoken to us about His promises, it’s not enough to just pray once, we must pray until something happens.
In the bible, Daniel was a great example of a man that believed in the power of prayer. Although the King wanted to kill God’s people, Daniel fasted and prayed until God caused a change of heart in the King. Daniel persisted in prayer until something happened.
That means every time something tries to come against God’s promise, you keep praying. That means when things are not lining up how you pictured, you keep praying. That means when offers are on the table, you keep praying.
Pray with the belief that God will make the promise come to pass.
